I am Furkan Duman, a Computer Engineering graduate from Middle East Technical University and a Data Science master's student at TU Dortmund University. My work sits at the intersection of data analysis, machine learning, cognitive research, and practical software engineering.

Recently, I have been focusing on AI implementation: turning research ideas and experimental data into working pipelines, models, and tools. At IfADo in Dortmund, I work with eye-tracking experiment data, supporting preprocessing, visualization, analysis, and interpretation for cognitive research. I am especially interested in AI systems that are measurable, explainable, and useful beyond a demo.

My background combines academic research and hands-on development. I have worked on an AI-based autism diagnosis system using web-based eye tracking, implemented machine learning pipelines for behavioral research, built backend APIs, created data collection tools, and developed applications with Python, C#, Java, SQL, Flask, Docker, and modern web technologies.

Current Focus

Implementing AI and ML pipelines for behavioral, cognitive, and eye-tracking data.

Research

Interested in LLM systems, model behavior, evaluation, and optimization problems where research ideas need to become usable AI workflows.

Build Focus

Projects across Bayesian inference, REST APIs, eye-tracking tools, web scraping, data products, and applied AI systems.
